As a child growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Stevens spent time in her dad’s auto trim shop, watching him perfect his trade of over 40 years, building relationships with his customers new and old. From him she learned to appreciate the challenge and art of working with one’s hands to marry technical skill with creativity. With her parents’ hard work and support, Dr. Stevens completed both her undergraduate education and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University, graduating with honors. She has a B.A. in History and minored in Studio Art along with completing science prerequisites for dental school. 

It is important to Dr. Stevens that each patient’s story is valued and heard.  She is passionate about comprehensive care – that is, ensuring her dentistry is carefully and thoughtfully planned and explained, with a holistic view of health and function. Her greatest joy has been to restore smiles that require extensive rebuilding after years of wear and tooth loss. When a patient takes the leap to restore his or her entire smile, they place an enormous amount of trust in their dentist, and it’s important to Dr. Stevens that the results are both esthetically and functionally exceptional. 

Dr. Stevens has done advanced training in occlusion and cosmetic dentistry at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, and takes a special interest in jaw function and airway development. She is a longtime member of the Academy of General Dentistry, which challenges dentists to be at the top of their field with continuing education. 

Dr. Stevens loves her Mount Pleasant Dental team (more like family) and splits her time between both locations. She couldn’t be more grateful to have had Dr. David Pier’s mentorship over the years, and to now work alongside her friends and partners Dr. Rebecca Laliberte and Dr. Eric Pier. Dr. Stevens and her husband Ben are high school sweethearts and have two sweet little girls with not-so-little personalities. Dr. Stevens loves traveling with Ben, taking her babies on hikes, and enjoying a good cup of tea. And let’s not forget baking – admittedly, she has a sweet tooth.
